Parboiled Rice has been steamed and then dried after which the outside hull layer is removed.  Because the hull is removed after steaming more of the nutrients stay with the rice kernel.  It cooks up faster than regular rice and has less starch in it because of the steaming process.  Parboiled rice is perfect to make one pot meals, soups, and easy camp meals that you can make ahead of time and just throw into a pot of boiling water. Parboiled rice is used throughout the world.

We are currently accepting Pre-Orders for bulk foods in 5 Gallon Super Pail Buckets. Orders will arrive approximately 2 weeks after the pre-order cutoff date. Once we receive the shipment from our canning company, we will notify you when your order is ready to be picked up.

The Super Pail has a mylar bag inside the 5 Gallon Bucket. The product is sealed inside the mylar bag and then sealed inside the bucket. The mylar bag provides extra protection for the product helping it to store longer and protecting the product from any deficiencies that may exist in the bucket. Super Pails are the best for long-term storage of bulk foods.

Shelf life estimates are based on industry studies from sources deemed reputable. Since Rainy Day Foods has no control over individual storage practices, they must disclaim any liability or warranty for particular results.

Shelf Life:  Should be stored in cool dark place- optimum condition is 60 degrees or less- for longer storage. Storing properly in our enameled cans and Super pail buckets, product may store 30 years. Bulk products need to be repackaged for long term storage.

Ingredients:  Enriched long grain parboiled rice, iron ferric phosphate, niacin, thiamine mononitrate and folic acid.  Non-GMO
